Fee includes Ethiopian dinner and Camp Koronis activity facilities, i.e. swimming, ga-ga pit, etc.

Friday dinner is not included in the meal plan. Paynesville has a DQ, Subway, Mc Donald’s and A&W—please plan accordingly.
12 tent sites are equipped with water and electricity. Additional tent sites will be on the sports field with no water or electricity. Choose high ground if rain is expected.
Site selection is first come, first served on Friday. Very limited space for large campers.

These hotel-like accommodations are located across the street from the camping area. Double queen rooms. 1 King room is available to the first person to email us.

Cottage 66 (sleeps 4): 2 rooms, each with a double bed. Full bath. Full kitchen. Living area.Includes Friday and Saturday night.
Cottage 68 (sleeps 4): 2 rooms, each with 2 twin beds. Full bath. Kitchenette with small fridge & microwave. Living area.
Cottage 58 (sleeps 8): 2 Bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Double hide-a-bed in living room. Loft with 2 single mats on the floor.
Included in program fee. Dinner served Saturday night at 6:30. Wear your Ethiopian traditional clothes.
EKC Family Camp was created to connect families who love Ethiopia. We will enjoy Ethiopian food, but the weekend will not be highly structured. There are many options for fun and engagement. Families are welcome to plan for or simply spontaneously lead something like: a scavenger hunt, parent/child soccer game, coffee ceremony over campfire, Sunday morning chapel service, nature hike, craft, Ethiopian games.

*Campfires - There are many designated fire pits. Kids and Campfires – No unattended children are allowed at campfire pits. PLEASE watch the kids. We are a village and you have permission to ask kids to be careful or “don’t swing that flaming poker stick in the air.” Please instruct your kids on campfire do’s and don’t's to help ensure all are safe at campfires. Campfire pits do not have grilling grates. You will need to bring your camp stove to cook.
